The 2012 Miss Taiwanese American participants’ inaugural Mentorship Program is focused on developing the next generation of successful young women

Ideal for students seeking guidance for and during college, insight into specialized careers, and development as a leader

The MTA Mentorship Program is looking for highly motivated female high school or college students seeking to gain academic, career, and leadership development.

Open to residents of Southern California but remote mentorship will be considered on an individual basis.

Schedule of Events


Programming is separated into 2 parts (group vs individual sessions). Group sessions will teach skills and provide information on key topics. Individual sessions will be conducted informally with the mentor and mentee small groups or one-on-one basis.

This year's Mentorship formally starts on Oct 28, 2012 and ends in Aug 2013 (on the date of 2013 MTA pageant - tbd). 

1.     Group sessions (4) – all mentor/mentees
a.     Orientation – Meet the mentors, panel discussion, and small group ice breakers
               Date: Sunday, October 28 @ 10 am to 12 pm***

                      -Former Chairperson of the Democratic Progressive Party and

Why Join the MTA Mentorship Program


The 2012 Miss Taiwanese American participants have a passion for community service.  With their unique qualifications and accomplishments, through the one year Mentorship Program they hope to guide current female high school and college students through to become the next generation of successful young women.

Being the inaugural year for the Mentorship Program, mentee selection will be limited. Programming will reflect interests of the participants.
